Delete your Kachu data

Data Deletion Policy

Kachu supports account deletion in the app and through a public request path for store compliance.

Effective date: July 10, 2026

Delete from the app

Open Kachu, go to Profile, then use Delete account in the Danger zone. This removes your account access and begins deletion of account data from active systems.

Request deletion without the app

If you cannot access the app, email support@kachu.app with the subject "Kachu data deletion request" and include the phone number or sign-in method connected to your account. We may ask for verification before deleting data.

What deletion covers

Your account profile and account access.
Device notification tokens tied to your account.
Personal account fields stored in active user records.
Content you created where deletion is technically and legally practical.

What may remain

Content that other users need inside shared catchups, such as group memories, comments, event records, or safety records, may remain with identifying details removed where practical.
Backups, logs, fraud-prevention records, abuse reports, legal records, and security records may be retained for a limited time when needed.
Data already copied or saved by other users outside Kachu cannot be deleted by Kachu.

Timing

We aim to process verified deletion requests within 30 days unless a longer period is required for legal, safety, security, or technical reasons.
